Description
The third in a set of 12 preludes I wrote in the early 1990s, recorded in 1995. Walking Aimlessly with Purpose sums up the mood. It is driven by a “walking” jazz-style base, over which several motifs attempt to develop.
There are as many as four staves here. Yes, I could have put the two upper parts on the standard treble staff, but it would have been a mess to read.
You can listen to my original recordings of the first three preludes here, along with some etudes and other written virtuoso jazzy works from the same period. I plan to record and publish the remaining nine preludes this year (2023.) Stay tuned for that…
